Klonopin (Clonazepam) Withdrawal Symptoms & Experience
I have been taking a generic version of Klonopin for 5 years now. At first I took it every day at 1mg doses for the first 6 months. Now only take it when I need it at 0.5mg's. It works great for general anxiety. If you have something such as a major fear of public speaking its not going to kill that anxiety 100 % by itself. Consider taking it with Propranolol. That combination is a miracle worker. But as far as just general anxiety goes Klonopin by itself is great. I've never really had any major withdraw side effects with it but then I'm at a small dose anyways. When I'm taking it I feel really at ease with my thoughts and others around. If you take this please don't be a jerk while taking it. Enjoy the fact your finally not anxious for once and at peace. Some people use it as an excuse to act stupid or annoying. Sure your going to feel nice while your taking it but don't be 'that guy' and give people a bad reputation that need to take it to function normally. You are still in control and your not drunk so be responsible.
I've taken this on and off for 15 years. It is helpful for difficult nights or days, but it does not provide instant relief if you are having an attack. It is easy to build a tolerance, and then have to increase the dose. I believe that non drug interventions are important to use with this so you don't build a tolerance. It works for me best if I only take it when I really need it.
I've been on this for about a year. Very low dosage and take only when need. Works much better when I'm having an anxiety attack take 1/2 of a 1mg and I calm down within minutes. Only when I take regular is when things seem sad, I feel sorry for everybody, I'm more scared than normal. All I do now is take half and pray it works wonders. Now I'm barely taken the half because God has made me feel more better. But if I do have a bad attack I know I could take 1/2. Try to only take when you are having a major attack and half gives you more control. You take something long enough your body depends on it. But if you only treat a medical issue for that moment your not co dependent. Good luck to all us special people. We truly are one of a kind. Even if we are sensitive. Just take control don't let it control us. We know we need our meds but just take half for each attack.
