It seems that Henry Cavill was very committed to his role in The Witcher, and went to incredible lengths to prove it.

The star takes on the lead role of Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming Netflix series, and according to executive producer Tomasz Bagiński, he wanted to stay in the world of The Witcher even after filming finished for the day.

“In Hungary, he spent weeks sleeping in a trailer right by the set,” Baginski told teleshow.wp (via ComicBook.com).

“He didn’t go back to the hotel in Budapest which saved him an hour every day, but mostly it meant that during the whole time he was in the Witcher world. That doesn’t happen very often. Henry is a working actor, he knows what to do and he delivers fantastic scenes.”

Meanwhile, original Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski has suggested that the Netflix series could be a “masterpiece”.

“Yesterday I witnessed for the first time the screening of the trailer of The Witcher series, together with the fans,” he said recently.

“I didn’t even see the pilot episode because I like being surprised. But I can say one thing: if the series will be as beautiful as the trailer, we will have a masterpiece.”

Ahead of the first season, Netflix has revealed that The Witcher has already been renewed for a second season.

The Witcher will premiere on Netflix on December 20, 2019.
