As people have become more aware of the symptoms of insomnia more cases are being diagnosed. People understand more today of the severity and effects of what this disorder can do to someone. An insomnia sufferer might be treated with oxygen, various medications, cpap machines, or in severe cases, surgery. The screen methods have improved significantly so that insomnia can be diagnosed early on. To get tested they used to use sleep centers that resembled a regular hospital room, but now you can stay in a room that is more like a hotel. This helps to make you more comfortable during your stay. In some cases, the testing equipment is small enough that you can even get tested in your own home.

All people have to have sleep to maintain good health. If you struggle with sleep or know someone struggling with sleep a doctor should be consulted. This is a medical problem that can be treated.
