New Leaf offers nutrition workshop | Quick Bites – Santa Cruz Sentinel

By | February 13, 2019

SANTA CRUZ — From 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, Certified Nutrition Consultant Madia Jamgochian will give a free, one-hour talk: “Demystifying Omegas.” Omega has become a buzzword and many products claim high sources on their packaging. Jamgochian will discuss the different types (3, 6, 7 & 9), which ones we need to optimize health, and best dietary sources. Recipes will be enjoyed at the end of class.

Also on Feb. 19, from 6-7 p.m., Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach and Environmental Design Accredited Professional Graseilah Coolidge will give the second part of her workshop, “Secrets for Optimizing Well-Being.” Coolidge will discuss powerful habits and fun life hacks that busy people can implement right away to regain and maintain their vitality. The focus will be on optimizing your environment. Environmental toxins and chemicals in our food, water, and the products we use daily can make us sick.  Participants will learn how to detox their environment in a few simple steps. Through her own struggles healing from gut-related conditions, Coolidge leveraged the power of food and environment to regain her health.

Classes are at the Westside New Leaf Community Classroom (1101 Fair Ave.). Space is limited and preregistration is required—even for free events—at newleaf.com/events.
