In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper — also known as TLC’s Dr. Sandra Lee — is revisiting a favorite pop from 2015. The dermatologist has several blackheads to drain from behind a patient’s ear in her new clip. Turns out, though, it’s not just one patient. The blackheads are part of a larger, Best of 2015 video posted to her YouTube channel.
The short snippet posted to Instagram is all about what Dr. Lee calls ‘soft pops,’ aka those curling, classic blackheads that likely drew many of her fans to her videos. She begins the removal process with an extraction tool which she uses to press into the patient’s skin in order to cause the blackhead’s insides to spill forth like ‘stringy cheese.’ Those insides are made of dead skin, sebum, and bacteria that has been exposed to oxygen and formed the black “head.”
Dr. Lee explains that her patient isn’t “one to complain” about her aggressive popping tactics as she puts some serious elbow grease into the extractions. While she moves through the multiple blackheads behind his ear, she tells him that until he says “Uncle,” she will keep going with her extraction tool.
