Grumpy Cat has nothing on this fella.
A Facebook post calling for the adoption of the “World’s worst cat” has gone viral thanks to its decidedly ruthless — but playful — tone.
“We [thought] she was sick, turns out she’s just a jerk,” the ad on North Carolina’s Mitchell County Animal Rescue’s Facebook page reads.
“Meet Perdita, not for the faint of heart. LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again; the song Cat Scratch Fever, the movie Pet [Semetary] (Church is her hero), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, being queen of her domicile, fooling shelter staff into thinking she’s sick (vet agrees…she’s just a jerk).”
The shelter further claws into the kitty by listing everything she hates.
“DISLIKES: the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least…HUGS.”
Facebook users gushed over the cheeky fur ball.
“Omg that Is a cat I would like. Pet me when I say.. otherwise leave me the hell alone. Oh and feed me.. often,” one user wrote.
Another person slammed the shelter’s blunt, meow-ouch of a posting.
“Cats are NOT born hateful – their environment can make them that way – just like humans. Shameful ad – does this represent NC?”
The not-so-friendly feline can be adopted on the Mitchell County Animal Rescue website.
