You’re guaranteed to think of this pop the next time you break open a cheese ravioli. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—pops a bulging cyst that explodes with chunky white contents. And those contents just so happen to look like ricotta cheese. If you have an affinity for Italian food, you may want to skip this one.
In the quick clip, Dr. Lee makes an incision into the growth located on a patient’s shoulder. She then squeezes out the textured goop inside with her fingers—and that’s that.
While pre-op photos at the beginning of the video show three bulging cysts on this particular patient, the video only shows the process of popping one. We can’t be greedy, now can we? Plus, this pop is pretty perfect as far as cyst pops go.
“Oh! It looks like fresh ricotta,” one fan wrote in the comments. Delicious.
The cyst featured in this video is likely an epidermoid cyst. This type of cyst usually contains a collection of wet dead skin cells and keratin. Epidermoid cysts often occur on the face, neck, and body.
